Filmmakers are taking over Denver and turning it into movie-making madness for 48 hours! Teams of filmmakers have a single weekend - this one - to write, shoot and edit their short films! All completed entries will be unveiled on the big screen, at our premiere screenings.
Here are some important notes for 48HFP filmmakers:
Be safe! Make great films! Good luck!
Announced at Kickoff
Well Howdy! We look forward to seeing you.
Unlike past years, this is NOT a First Friday on Santa Fe, so parking should be a smidge easier. We highly recommend parking on Lipan (just on the other side of Kalamath) and crossing over to OMF at 7th and Kalamath. Head up the stairs and we have got you from there!
The Skylark sits at Broadway and Maple and this can be a dangerous corner. PLEASE utilize the parking behind the building and in front of the garage doors. If you are racing the clock, have someone drop you off in a safe location from which you can run!
We will catch you at the front door and if all things are in order, mark your arrival time right there so you can mosey upstairs, grab a happy hour cocktail and take a breath while your materials are checked in. If you are not quite set, you will be asked to take a seat downstairs to do what needs to be done. When you are ready, run back by the front door for the time stamp.
Should there be issues, just let us know. We are on hand to usher you in and want more than anything for your work to screen on 8/9.
Plan to attend our screenings (there is even a 4 screening pass), and share in the experience and efforts of our participants and this incredible Denver film community. Get ready to whoop it up, fist pump and revel in all this impressive work.
Advance purchase of tickets is recommended. Arrive early to ensure you are there for the start. All screenings will be followed by a filmmaker Q&A. Parking available through out the neighborhood.
Local 46 just around the corner (4586 Tennyson St) will be host to our after screening party (post Group D - Happy Hour prices). They will also be open to folks gathering after any screening.
