Filmmakers from all over the Los Angeles, CA area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2018 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2018 Short Film Corner.

Exclusive LA 48HFP Casting Call

Not connected to actors??? Not a problem! If you are a Registered Team Leader of the Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Project, we have you covered if you are in need of cast! Over 30 actors with active Casting Frontier will perform one minute monologues for Team Leaders who attend the exclusive casting session. 

ACTORS: If you would like to audition, you must have an active Casting Frontier profile and submit yourself to the casting notice. Please note that while we would like to accommodate everyone, space is limited.

Kickoff Event

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!!! This is the weekend it all goes down. One representative from each registered team should arrive by 5:30pm to receive their film assignments. The representative must bring their signed Team Leader Agreement (signed by the Team Leader) to the kickoff to be eligible to compete. The filmmaking 48 hour clock starts promptly at 7:00pm!  Teams must return with their finished film and their paperwork by 7:30pm on August 6th to be considered 'on time'.

Dropoff Event
