The San Jose 48 Hour Film Project

The 48 Hour Film Project comes to San Jose on the weekend of July 26 - 28, 2013. Filmmakers from all over the Bay area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world.

This year, teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once the initial registration is complete, we will add teams to a waiting list.

Early Bird Registration is $140. Teams must register on or before Monday, July 1 to get this special rate. Regular registration is $160. If teams register after Tuesday, July 16 they must pay a rate of $175.

San Jose 48HFP Events

Kickoff

Date  Friday, July 26
Time  6:00pm - 7:00pm
Place  Camera 3 - ComedySportz San Jose Theater, 288 S. Second St.
Notes  We'll be in the lobby area (with Psycho Donuts) until we pop the doors on the Kickoff venue at 6pm. Be sure that one member from your team is present and holding the signed Team Leader agreement.

Dropoff

Date  Sunday, July 28
Time  6:00pm-9:30pm (by 7:30pm to be on time!)
Place  TBA
Notes  Remember -- we want to show your film, even if it's late. So if you are running behind, just finish the movie and get it to us by any means possible. Even if you're late, you can still win the Audience Choice award, so Finish. That. Movie!

Premiere Screenings

Notes  Ticket sales are not yet open. We will open ticket sales when we have screening group assignments (roughly mid-July).
