The weekend? August 14 - 16, 2015

The challenge? To make a film in only 48 hours!

Filmmakers from all over the Houston, TX area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2016 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2016, Court Métrage.

48HFP Practice Run

To get the creative juices flowing in preparation for our filmmaking weekend, we're going to a speed run of the 48HFP in only 48 minutes - minus the filming and editing, that is!! We'll break you up into teams and give you a set of required elements. Then you and your group have less than hour to come up with a play to perform. Don't worry, we'll let you use your script.

Please note this is NOT an official 48HFP event, but will feature numerous Houston 48 hour films from previous years.

Skye Fest 2015 is a family-friendly fundraiser to support the Skye McCole Bartusiak Foundation which helps provide support for emerging filmmaking talent. This festival will feature short films, live music, Texas barbeque and games for the kids (or those young at heart).

The price of admission is a $30 donation (or $20 for a half-day). Food plates are $10 with non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase and there is a nominal fee for the games.
