2006 Winners
The 48 Hour Film Project's 2006 winners were announced at a reception at Sauce in Albuquerque at the end of Filmapalooza, on March 10th, 2007.
The second runner-up was Afafas from Miami for "Maten al Payaso", in which several underworld groups plot the assassination of a nefarious gangster known only as "the clown".
The first runner-up was Milk from Seattle for "Manquer", an homage to the French New Wave, in which a bicycle is stolen from its beloved owner.
And the winner was Cinema Syndicate from Portland, Oregon, for "Tooth and Nail", in which an incumbent politician is revealed to be a vampire and must defend his seat against a family-values challenger. More awards...
