The 48 Hour Film Project

The Las Vegas 48 Hour Film Project

What Happened During Your Weekend?

The Las Vegas filmmakers share stories from their wild weekend of filmmaking. (Blogging ended shortly after the filmmaking weekend.)

THE BOSS

Where to begin? First off I must admit that this was definitely a learning experience in every way. When I think back to the loss of sleep, getting by on protein bars and hot pockets I smile. I smile because I look at our finished product and feel that in the end it was all worth it. This was my first 48 hour film festival but I know it will definitely not be my last. I'm still sad it's over but, still very proud of the work that not only my team made but, of the work all the teams did as well. I met some great people during the process. Simply put.....I loved every minute of it and look forward to next year.

Las Vegas 48hr Film 2013

The exhaustion, fatigue, & mental anguish are all worth it once you see yourself on the big screen & it goes well. It's a learning experience (from hell at times) but well worth it! I definitely had some breakthroughs in my acting I might never have had...if not for the intense sleep-deprivation at the time. Plus I met a lot of new friends & people in the biz. On to the next one!

48 Hr Film 2013

Ive done a couple of these in the past and always had a great time. This time around we tried something different by doing everything in one continuous take which was a a challenge but a blast for everyone. To me its all about the creativity and being able to think on your feet.

I have been involved with at least one 48 Hour Film Project of these every year since they began. Good luck to all of the teams. I can't wait to hear all of your stories.
