Filmmakers from all over the Los Angeles, CA area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2019 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2019 Short Film Corner.

'How to 48' Filmmaker Workshop

This 'How to 48' workshop will teach filmmakers the essentials of how to have a successful 48HFP filmmaking weekend here in Los Angeles.  Topics covered will include things such as strategies in writing, shooting, and editing in a 48 hour time period, as well as essential tips to get your film turned in on time. In addition, we will dive into the judging process and unveil what the judges look for in the nominated and award winning films.
