The 48 Hour Film Project

The Machinima 48 Hour Film Project

What Happened During Your Weekend?

The Machinima filmmakers share stories from their wild weekend of filmmaking. (Blogging ended shortly after the filmmaking weekend.)

A wonderful time!

Being part of the 48 hour experience is a sure way to get your creative juices flowing. 48 hours may seem like a long time but when you have to write, film, record audio, edit not to mention build sets, dress characters, it morphs into a wonderful sort of madness!

I love what Robin said about it being like a puzzle and totally agree. It is like you are given the pieces and GO is yelled.

I can't wait until next year!

We received your film on time - was Music to our ears!

Last year I was a bit grumpy about pulling the genre "Mistaken Identity" and I tell you I jumped for joy when we got musical this year. The rest of my team looked at me like I was a bit mad haha but we had a great time, and managed to get it all written, sung and composed on time.

It's always exciting to see what people will put together with the required elements. 48 Hour Film Project is sort of like the ultimate puzzle game. Here are your pieces, make something great!

From the writers meeting to the voice actors session to the post production all went smoothly, if not at a ridiculous pace.

I love my team and respect their willingness to work with me and share their time and talents. We gave Brandon, the sound genius a real bear of a job this time with musical. I expect next year he'll root for silent film. Haha!

I hope we made something everyone will enjoy. We all absolutely look forward to seeing what everyone else came up with.

glad not to compete with human actors

for the last couple years have been submitting films composed in IClone 5 - it is tough to be the only animated film in a contest - I like this opportunity to go head to head with other animators - thanks for the chance - the Second Life venue helps to feel like a real audience is watching come showtime - looking forward to the rest of your films
