The Milwaukee 48 Hour Film Project
What Happened During Your Weekend?
The Milwaukee filmmakers share stories from their wild weekend of filmmaking. (Blogging ended shortly after the filmmaking weekend.)
This was our first year in the 48 Hour Film Project and I count our lucky stars that everything turned out so well. We had our hiccups with the location, story, sound, technology, and schedule. We were bitting our nails in anticipation of the finished product. Thankfully, we had so much luck floating around us, I was amazed.
In the end, what truly made everything work is the teamwork during the weekend to do 110 percent, that desire to make something beautiful and deep, and the awe, I believe, we had of each other's talents, positivity and connections. We indeed made a film that we are proud of. Thank you for this opportunity. It has opened doors to new friendships and continued work in film.

What a weekend. With all of us only getting six hours of sleep we ended up finishing the film and getting it in on time once again. Certain things should have been different with the film and it would have ended up being a lot better. Teamwork is important in this event. Without it, nothing will truly get accomplished to what you all had envisioned together. I am happy with what me & my team accomplished & I'm very proud of all their work. We will be going for it again in 2014 and are really excited.

Into the fire
Director: I have an idea. Lets end it by Mic deciding to end himself by walking into the fire.
Mic: I should walk into the fire?
Director: Yeah, that will be the last thing we shoot then.
Mic: Wait, you want me to walk into the fire?
Director: I told you to wear old clothes.

Beneath the Chrysanthemums
"you got this Eric? You must pour the goo onto theos face without hesitation and Theo you must be grimacing in pain."
"yeah yeah yeah we got it no problem."
Eric hesitates to pour and Theo smiles as all the goo is spilt onto Theos head whilst he is out of shot. We all stood there in stunned silence. In that moment we were doomed.
"well.....Ill have to run to the store and mix some more i guess..."
