48HFP Officiele Regels
The regels for the 2013 tour are not yet available. They will be released before the tour begins. These are the 2012 rules.
De volgende regels gelden voor alle deelnemende teams:
- The 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) will occur in cities around the world on different weekends throughout the year.
- De 48 uurs filmchallenge loopt van vrijdag 19.00 lokale tijd tot de daaropvolgende zondag 19.00 lokale tijd. Dit is de officiële 48 uur periode.
- Deelnemende groep moet haar film afronden en inleveren op de drop-off locatie voor zondag 19.30.
- Alleen films die de deadline halen doen mee aan de competitie. Alle films die zondag ontvangen worden (op tijd en te laat) zullen worden getoond in de bioscoop.
B. Alle creatieve activiteiten vinden plaats in de 48 uurs periode, waaronder:
- script schrijven
- oefenen
- kostuum/set design
- filmen
- editten
- sound design, componeren
- Rendering
- Outputting to tape or other media
C. Toegestane activiteiten voor de 48 uurs periode:
- crew organiseren
- acteurs/actrices organiseren
- apparatuur organiseren
- locaties regelen
D. Alle materiaal moet binnen de 48 uur gefilmd worden.
- er mag geen stockmateriaal of ander eerder gefilmd materiaal gebruikt worden
- animatie en special-effects zijn toegestaan, mits gemaakt in de 48 uurs periode
- Still photographs are permitted, provided that the team has the rights to them. The photos do not need to be created during the 48 hour time period; however, stills created outside of the official 48 hour time period may not be used in sequence to create the illusion of motion.
E. Elk deelnemde groep moet een vertegenwoordiger afvaardigen naar het officiële kick-off event.
- De producer/teamaanvoerder is verplicht een getekend examplaar van de Deelnemersovereenkomst te overhandingen op de kick-off voor er geloot wordt.
- elk team loot een genre voor haar film
- het team krijgt de optie een "wildcard" genre te kiezen. Als een team hiervoor kiest kunnen ze niet meer terug naar hun oorspronkelijke loting
F. daarnaast maken de locale producers een karakter, een voorwerp en een regel tekst bekend
- het karakter en het voorwerp moeten zichtbaar zijn in de film
- de regel tekst moet uitgesproken, gezonden en/of geschreven worden in de film in een willekeurige taal. Als het onduidelijk is dat dit de verplichte regel tekst is, dan dient er een vertaling te zijn.
- Voor kwalificatie als een "officiële 48 uurs film" moet elke film in het gelote genre zijn en alle gelote elementen in de officiële filmtijd aanwezig zijn (voor de aftiteling).
G. Alle teamleden dienen vrijwilliger te zijn.
H. Elk type video of film camera kan worden gebruikt, mits een maximum van drie camera's gebruikt wordt. Geluidsopname en geluidseffecten: geluidsopnameapparatuur is toegestaan naast de drie genoemde camera's. Voor muziek zijn vooraf opgenomen geluidseffecten toegestaan, mits het team daar de rechten voor heeft.
I. In het eerste jaar in een stad, elke film moet een kenmerkende plek van de stad bevatten (een gebouw, een monument enz) of een ander herkenbaar kenmerk (b.v. bus, rondvaartboot). De plek moet zich binnen de stadsgrenzen bevinden.
J. Muziek: wij moedigen deelnemende teams aan om met plaatselijke componisten en/of muzikanten muziek te schrijven en op te nemen. We realiseren ons dat dit lastig kan zijn. Daarom is het toegestaan om vooraf opgenomen muziek te gebruiken, mits het deelnemende team de rechten heeft voor alle muziek die in de film gebruikt wordt. Een vrijwaringsverklaring moet hiervoor overhandigd worden.
Note: Song parodies (i.e., use of identifiable pre-existing compositions with new or altered lyrics or music) may not be included in the film without a signed release from the composition’s rights holder. This rule applies without regard to whether the song parody arguably constitutes "fair use" under US or international copyright law.
K. De uiteindelijke film is minimaal 4 minuten en maximaal 7 minuten.
The finished film must be a minimum of 4 minutes in duration, and a maximum of 7 minutes in duration—not including end credits. In other words, the official running time begins after the required 48HFP slates and ends prior to the end credits. The required slates and the end credits do not count towards the minimum time of 4 minutes. The film story may not be longer than 7 minutes. See Rule L.
- Voor de film begint, is verplicht:

Your film follows this. - OPENING CREDITS: After the 2 seconds of black, some films start with opening credits. These are not encouraged, but if you use them, opening credits are considered to be part of the film, and therefore count against the seven minute maximum. Additionally, if your film has opening credits other than simply the film's title (for example, the names of directors, actors, etc.), you must include one of the following:
- the text "[your team name] presents" immediately followed by "a 48 Hour Film Project" or
- the text “a 48 Hour Film Project” immediately following the title of your film
Note: "a 48 Hour Film Project" should not be in quotes and may be entirely lowercase (i.e., "a 48 hour film project").
- the text "[your team name] presents" immediately followed by "a 48 Hour Film Project" or
- Aftiteling is gelimiteerd tot 60 seconden. Deze 60 seconden zijn bovenop de lengte van de film, zoals gedefinieerd in regel 8. (Dus een film kan 7 minuten lang zijn, met een aftiteling van 60 seconden, zodat de totale tijd 8 miniten is.)
The end credits must include the words: "This film was made for the 48 Hour Film Project. www.48hourfilm.com" - SLATES AND CREDITS AFTER 48HFP: After the competition, films screening online should retain the pre-film title card that says: "This film was made for the 48 Hour Film Project 2012. www.48hourfilm.com”. M. De afgeronde film moet in PAL opgenomen zijn.
Unless otherwise instructed on your City webpage of the 48 Hour Film Project website, your film must be submitted on one of the following media:
- (preferred) a self-contained SD Quicktime file with no proprietary codecs on either:
- data DVD
- USB flash drive - playable DVD
- We raden aan dat elk team twee kopieen inlevert van de uiteindelijke film.
- We recommend that you make sound levels relatively even throughout your film. (If your film has uneven sound or sound that peaks, it may be modified to protect the playback equipment.)
- Projection specs vary from theater to theater and are beyond the control of the 48HFP. If your film is very dark, it may be difficult to see in your theater.
- All films received on the evening of the deadline (on-time and late) will be screened, presuming they are eligible according to Rule Q.
O. Elk team moet bij inleveren van de film een Vrijwaringsverklaring indien voor alle talent, muziek en locaties. [#] De film zal niet getoond worden als de organisatie van de 48 uurs challenge de getekende vrijwaringsverklaringen niet ontvangen heeft.
P. De producten/teamaanvoeder is verplicht een [#] te overhandigen bij het inleveren van de gemaakt film, waarin aangegeven is dat aan alle regels is voldaan.
Q. To be eligible for the Project, Entries must be the original work of the Entrant; must not infringe third-party's rights; must be suitable for publication (i.e., may not be obscene or indecent); must not contain obscene or pornographic material; may not contain defamatory statements about any person, company, organization or entity; may not invade privacy or other rights of any person, company or entity; may not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations; and may not contain any copyrighted elements (other than as owned by the Entrant and/or 48HFP).
Entries containing prohibited or inappropriate content as determined by the 48HFP, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate will be disqualified. 48HFP reserves the right to make the final determination as to which Entries are eligible. 48HFP also reserves the right to refuse to screen a film or to make an announcement at the screening regarding the content of the film.
R. The Entrant should not distribute their film in any way before the premiere screenings. This includes uploading the film to any website. The Entrant is encouraged to make a trailer of their film and distribute that instead. This trailer should be no longer than 48 seconds.
S. Om gecertificeerd te worden als een "Officiele 48 uurs film" moeten alle bovenstaande regels opgevolgd worden. De organisatie behoudt zich het recht voor om alleen gecertifcieerde film te tonen.
T. No Entries (media or documents) will be returned.
U. 48HFP and Project Parties may, in their sole discretion, disqualify Entries deemed to be inappropriate or otherwise non-compliant.
V. Alle gecertificeerde "Officiele 48 uurs films" dingen mee voor de titel "Beste 48 uurs film" in betreffende stad.
W. Alle "Best of City" films dingen mee naar de wereldwijde titel "Best 48 Hour Film 2011". Een onafhankelijke jury bepaalt de winnaars.
X. De organisatie behoudt zich het recht voor bovenstaande regels aan te passen en/of uit te breiden op elk moment voor het begin van de "48 uurs periode".
