Washington, District of Columbia October 7 - 9, 2016

Get Ready for An Amazing Challenge!

The weekend? October 7 - 9, 2016

The challenge? To make a political thriller and/or comedy in only 48 hours!

In this crazy election year, every day brings inspiration (desperation, obfuscation, save our nation) from the campaign trail. The return of the DC Politics and Comedy Project gives you the opportunity to make a film that sends a message... or not. Sick of politics? Then make a comedy. Think our political system is a joke.. make a political comedy.

Vote with your camera!

What's so special about the 48 Hour Film Politics & Comedy Project?

  • This competition is open to only 30 teams.
  • At kickoff, you will receive two genres to choose from - one a political genre like Campaign Trail and the other a comedy genre like Slapstick.
