The weekend? September 25 - 27, 2015

The challenge? To make a political thriller and/or comedy in only 48 hours!

Washington is hot based on television's obsession with DC shows, so why not include our local filmmakers in the action? From the daily intrigue of government to the ridiculous, often comical, behavior on Capitol Hill, our special DC 48 Hour Film competition asks you to put Washington in the spotlight.

What's so special about the 48 Hour Film Politics & Comedy Project?

  • This competition is open to only 30 teams.
  • At kickoff, you will receive two genres to choose from - one a political genre like Campaign Trail and the other a comedy genre like Slapstick.
  • Each film must include a Washington, DC area landmark.
