Our judges are currently deliberating on the 2021 winners. Awards will be determined for a number of categories, including Best Film, which will go on to represent Madison, WI at Filmapalooza 2022 and vie for Best 48HFP Film of 2021.

Join us at the screening for the Madison arm of the international 48Hour Film Project. It is the world's oldest and largest timed filmmaking competition. If you want the real deal, this is it.
Our filmmakers took on the challenge to write, shoot, edit, and score short films in just 48 hours all while maintaining strict safety precautions to keep their cast and crews safe. We applaud their passion to their craft, and we are honored to share their films.
We are offering in person Screening and a Virtual Option. Tickets are on sale now.
The live event at Marcus Pointe has 2 Screening Groups. Group A will start around 6:00pm and Screening Group B will start around 8:40. Come see one or both! 

To best protect our staff, participants, families, and friends we are requiring masks to be worn by anyone over the age of 2 at all indoor gatherings. Additionally, we are currently requiring proof of vaccination or a negative test within the past three days to attend our events. Our policies will be reviewed as situations evolve. Join us September 25th for an evening of cinematic celebration!

The Madison 48 Hour Film project will be hosting its 14th annual Awards Gala celebrating the completion of the 48's Cinematic Season and 2021 competition on Saturday Sept. 25th.

Attendees will see the best short films and filmmakers the Midwest has to offer and learn who will be named Madison's Champion for a chance to screen their film during the Cannes Film Festival's Short Film program, as well as discover the winners of a variety of award categories in this Oscar's Style awards ceremony and film screening.

Tickets are $5; cash-only at the door. Happy Hour beginning at 5:30, program at 6p. Come early and enjoy dinner at Funk's Pub, 5956 Executive Drive, Fitchburg, WI 53719
