Filmmakers from all over the Pittsburgh, PA area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours.
Write, shoot, and edit a short film over the weekend and see it PREMIERE on the BIG SCREEN!

Wherever you are currently in your filmmaking journey, the 48 Hour Film Project is a valuable next step!
•. Make your FIRST film... the first of many!
•. Create a film (or another film!) for your reel
• Practice new techniques -- in a low-risk setting
•. Find new filmmaking partners to work with, beginning on a (very!) short-term basis
• Create work to help show off your skills to find that next job!
Come out to our second mixer at Pop District HQ! We'll have an Ask Me Anything session, a camera/lens shootout, award winning 48's playing, people pitching / looking for teams, and Pop District / The Warhol: Academy giving tours and info!
Come to Goat Milk Fudge Studios for a free cup of coffee/donut, a discussion about settings for shooting/editing, comparing edit systems, and asking about rules. We'll be going over the best settings for all of the best-looking/sounding movies! Meet with your teams at a central place one week in advance!
Come at 5:10pm for a tour of this incredible place! Research this place before you come!! We'll start doing genre stuff at 5:45. At 6:15 Genre drawing ends. Be in your seats to get the info!
As soon as you turn in your movie come to Riley's Pour House for a wrap party. Dirty. Tired. Hungry! Come and get some food and a drink (on your own dime). Cinema Psycos ( Brian Cottington and John Wooliscroft) will be video live streaming/podcasting as teams turn in with interviews on camera on stage. Be there to hear if your team made it in on time!
Riley's Pour House is an all ages venue with a great menu of food (and adult beverages for those of age). Kitchen open to 9:15pm!
