48 Hour Films See New Life On Rizzle.TVThursday, December 3, 2020

Dozens of filmmakers are seeing a new life for their old 48HFP films on Rizzle, as they reformat them for the 48HFP Rizzle Reformat Challenge.

Rizzle.TV is a vertical video platform that showcases short 30-60 second videos for mini web series, talk shows, interactions, and more. Creators around the world are producing bite-sized bits of vertical video for viewers everywhere on the Rizzle platform.

48HFP participants are invited to reformat their existing 48HFP films and upload them to Rizzle as part of the 48HFP Rizzle Reformat Challenge. The contest goes through December 14th, and in addition to the cash prizes, we're giving away five free 48HFP 2021 registrations.  Every filmmaker who uploads a reformatted film is eligible!  

Entering the challenge is simple, and it's free to participate--simply go to https://www.cinema48.com/rizzle to review the contest and technical guidelines, reformat your film accordingly, and upload it to Cinema48 and to Rizzle. There is a $1000 cash prize for the Best Film uploaded as part of this challenge, and several $500 cash prizes for the other top films. Rizzle will also evaluate all submissions for potential continuing promotion, monetization, and other opportunities via Rizzle Studios.

To get an idea of how 48 Hour films look when reformatted to Rizzle, we've got two examples for you. Both are 48HFP Best Film city winners from previous years.

We are also happy to announce that we have our first Rizzle winner! David Hutchison of Eyedoll Productions in Edinburgh was selected in our random drawing of early submissions. David has won $500! Another $2500 will be split among the 4 top films: First Place: $1000 and 3 Runner Up prizes of $500 each.
