Regole del concorso World-Wide


1. Eligibility

The 48x2 Animation Project is open to filmmakers around the world. In the United States, the Team Leader must be a legal resident or legal visitor of the United States or the District of Columbia. The following are not eligible: employees, contractors, directors and officers of 48 Hour Film Project, Inc. (48HFP), or the 48x2 Animation Project (ANIMATION), its parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, distributors, web design, advertising, fulfillment, judging and Project agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Project (collectively, Project Parties), and the immediate family members of each (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, and spouse or step of each) and those living in their same households (those persons whether related or not who live in the same residence for at least three months during the twelve-month period preceding the start date of the Project). Outside of the United States, residency requirements may vary. Void where prohibited.

2. To Enter

To register for the 48 Hour Film Project in the United States, follow the instructions found at http://www.48hourfilm.com/animation . Registration is based on a first-come first-served basis and space is limited. Registration fees (per team) are as follows: Early Registration $70; Regular Registration $85; Late Registration $95. See website for deadlines. Registration ends the day before competition begins.


3. Official Filmmaking Period

The 48x2 Animation Project will commence on a Wednesday and end on the following Sunday as announced on the 48x2 Animation Project website.

4. Refunds

If a team (Entrant) must withdraw from the 48x2 Animation Project, the team will receive a full refund minus a $20 processing fee. Please request your refund by going to: https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/7SB3uM


5. Participation of Minors

Entrants may wish to consider having at least one member of its team be 21 years or older. Any participant under the age of eighteen (18) must have a parent sign his/her required document(s).

6. Team Leader's Agreement

I partecipanti dovranno sottoscrivere il così detto 48 Hour Film Project Team Leader's Agreement, accettandone termini e condizioni.  I minorenni dovranno esibire la firma di un genitore o di chi ne fa le veci

Le iscrizioni che non contengono tutte le informazioni obbligatorie o che non rispettano tutti I requisiti necessari, non saranno considerate valide per partecipare 48 Hour Film Project.

8. Judging of Entries

L’ammissione al concorso sarà valutata secondo i criteri di cui di seguito. 


9. Kickoff Event

Entrants must provide a valid email address to which the 48x2 Animation Project organizers will send the official competition assignment.


10. Basic Requirements of the Project

Entrants must adhere to the official ANIMATION Filmmaking Rules. In addition, in the Kickoff Email, Entrants will receive an assignment and be given 4 days to make a video (an Entry). See www.48hourfilm.com/animation for details.


11. Project Terms of Submission

By submitting an Entry into this 48x2 Animation Project, each Entrant warrants and represents that the Entrant owns all rights to the Entry he/she is entering in this Project, including, without limitation, the video or digital recording, and the performance contained in each Entry, with the exception of any assets provided by the "48HFP/ANIMATION" for use by Entrants in connection with this Project. Each Entrant further warrants and represents that the Entrant has obtained permission from each person who appears in the Entry to grant the rights to the Project Parties described in these Official Rules, and will submit copies of such permissions to the Project Parties. By submitting an Entry, Entrant agrees to the Official Rules, and further agrees to indemnify and hold the 48HFP and ANIMATION, Project Parties and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, agents, co-branders or other partners, and any of their employees (collectively, the Project Indemnitees), harmless from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Project Indemnitees due to or arising out of the Entrant's Entry materials in this Project, or the Entrant's conduct during and in connection with this Project, including but not limited to trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property rights, right of publicity, right of privacy or defamation. Entrant agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless "48HFP" and "ANIMATION" and the Project Parties from any and all claims that any advertising, presentation, web content or any other material subsequently produced, presented, and/or prepared by or on behalf of "48HFP" or the Project Parties infringes on the rights of Entrant's work as contained in any Entry.

12. Location

The "ANIMATION" is an online competition. Therefore, participants may be based anywhere that participation in online competitions is legally permitted. Entrants will receive the official email assignment via email on Friday

13. Team Leader

Qualora un Gruppo di persone decida di collaborare allo stesso progetto, deve indicare un solo membro come rappresentante del team al 48 Hour Film Project, il quale dovrà accettare le Regole ufficiali e sottoscrivere il Leader's Agreement, nonché ritirare il premio a nome del gruppo. Né il 48HFP né alcuna delle Project Parties hanno alcuna responsabilità in caso di controversie tra i membri di un team nate durante o in merito al progetto. 


14. Selection of Winners

Entries will be judged by a process in which qualified panels of judges will evaluate the eligible entries based on the following judging criteria:

  • Artistic Merit (e.g., Story, Creativity, Entertainment Value) (45%)
  • Technical Merit (30%)
  • Adherence to the Assignment (25%)

In addition, there will be an online Audience Award, full voting rules will be posted on www.48hourfilm.com/animation.


15. 48x2 Animation Project Winner

The Top Entry from all eligible submissions will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken based on the highest score in the first Judging Criteria, continuing thereafter to each Judging Criteria in order, as needed to break the tie. Entrants agree that the 48HFP has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this 48x2 Animation Project and that all decisions of 48HFP are final and  binding.


16. Winner's Prize

The top Entry will be screened at Filmapalooza, the Annual 48 Hour Film Project, Inc. Awards Weekend (date and location to be announced). In addition, the winning film will be screened at the 48HFP's annual showcase at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner.


17. Condizioni generali

Partecipando al concorso, tutti i membri dei team accettano le Regole ufficiali che sono incontestabili e vincolanti.  Il 48 Hour Film Project è regolamentato dalle leggi del Distretto della Colombia, Washington, DC, USA, alla cui Corte Federale devono essere rivolti tutti gli eventuali ricorsi.


18. Limiti di responsabilità e distribuzione

Il 48HFP e le relative Project Parties non si assumono alcuna responsabilità in merito alla partecipazione o alla richiesta di partecipazione al 48 Hour Film Project da parte dei singoli utenti, nonché in merito all’upload o al download di ogni informazione relativa alla partecipazione al progetto. Allo stesso modo, il 48HFP e le relative Project Parties non si assumono alcuna responsabilità in merito a eventuali problemi o malfunzionamenti tecnici che possono inficiare il progetto e possono essere dovuti alle seguenti cause: errori dell’hardware o del software; guasti a computer, smartphone, cavi, satellite, network, impianto elettrico, connessione wireless o Internet o altri problemi di comunicazione online; errori o limiti del fornitore Internet, servers o hosts; disturbi o errori nella trasmissione dati; fallimento nell’invio o ricezione di email; perdita, ritardo, cancellazione o blocco di una conversazione email; impossibilità di accesso a una pagina del sito Internet o all’intero sito per qualsiasi; congestione del traffico su Internet o sul nostro Sito; intervento umano o automatico non autorizzato nelle operazioni del progetto, come qualsiasi tipo di manomissione, hackeraggio, furto,  virus, bug, estorsione o danno al progetto, nonché perdita, danneggiamento, inacessibilità o indisponibilità dell’account email utilizzato in relazione al progetto. Il 48HFP e le relative Project Parties non sono responsabili per nessun errore tipografico al momento della consegna dei premi o in queste Regole ufficiali, così come per qualsiasi errore o inesattezza contenuti in questo sito internet o nelle pagine social gestite dal 48 Hour Film Project. L’utente si assume ogni rischio relativo all’utilizzo del sito internet e delle pagine social del 48HFP. Il 48HFP e le relative Project Parties non sono responsabili per nessun tipo di infortunio personale o danno/perdita di device collegati al computer dell’utente o di qualsiasi altra persona, incorsi durante la partecipazione al progetto, l’utilizzo del sito internet o al download di qualsiasi tipo di informazione dallo stesso. I partecipanti al progetto accettano di sollevare 48HFP le relative Project Parties da ogni disputa, danno o responsabilità dovuta alla partecipazione al progetto ed eventualmente risarcirli se necessario.
