The 48 Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition

A. Times

The Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition (YWCGFC) will occur worldwide the weekend of December 2-4, 2022.

The Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition competition period begins Friday, December 2 at 7:00pm and ends on Sunday, December 4 at Midnight. All times are referenced to each participant’s local time zone. This is the Official Time Period.

The participating group/team must complete its film/video work in time to upload its film to Cinema48.com by the end of the competition period.

B. 製作過程

全ての創作作業は『公式な48時間』の中で行なわれなければなりません。コンペティション開催期間以外のどのような事前の創作作業も禁止します。創作作業は下記の項目に限ったものではありません。

• シナリオ作成
• リハーサル
• 衣装、セットデザイン
• 撮影
• 編集
• サウンドデザイン
• レンダリング
• テープや他のメディアへの書き出し

C. 準備

『公式な48時間』に先立って行える作業は、

• クルーを集める
• 役者を集める
• 機材の確保
• ロケーションの視察、確保

D. フッテージ

作品で使用される全ての映像は48時間の期間内に撮影されたものでなければなりません。

• コンペ期間外で作成、または撮影された素材映像、創作物は使用できません。
• アニメーションや特殊効果は使用できます。ただし、それらも48時間の間に作成されたものでなければなりません。（注：例外として素材映像の使用が認められる場合：ポストプロダクションにおいて、特殊効果の一部として使用できます。例えば、背景にあるモニターに映っている映像として使用する、など。ただしチームがその映像を使用する権利を保有していること。使用が許可される素材映像には、弾丸、炎、爆発、なども含まれます。ただし、役者や群衆など、人物を使用することはできません。）
• 権利が保障された既存の動画やコンポジションを購入したりダウンロードをして、作品の一部として使用することを許可します。ただし映画の多くの部分は制限時間内で作成された素材で構成されていなければなりません。使用される既存の素材について、その内容に、人や何かが演技などパフォーマンスをしている映像が含まれるものは許可されません。
  
• 静止画像はそのチームが使用する権利を持っている限り使用できます。その画像は48時間の制限以内に作成される必要はありません。ただし、コンペ期間の48時間以外で作成された静止画を、映像の中で動いているような効果を作り出すために使用することはできません。

E. Kickoff Event

To be officially eligible for competition:

• The Team Leader must upload a completed copy of the Team Leaders Agreement to Cinema48.com before the Kickoff Event. A team may not participate without submitting this agreement.
• Each eligible team will then receive a Kickoff e-mail at 7:00pm their local time on Friday, December 2. The Kickoff e-mail will contain two genres from which to choose. Teams may choose either genre for their film. In addition, the Kickoff email will contain a line of dialog, character, and prop (required elements).
• Each team's film must be shot in one of the two genres and all of required elements must be included for the film to be eligible for competition.

F. お題

各参加チームには映画の中で扱われるお題として、ジャンル、キャラクター、小道具、台詞が割り当てられます。

• お題のキャラクターは必ず、それがお題のキャラクターであると判別できる表現のもとで、画面に登場する必要があります。ただし、お題のキャラクターの名前を誰かが言ったり、文字を用いて名前を画面上で紹介する必要はありません。
• お題の小道具は必ず画面に登場しなくてはなりません。お題の小道具の"絵"は許可されます。
  
• お題の台詞は一語一句完全に使用されなければなりません。使用法は台詞として、歌の歌詞として、又は文書でもかまいません。
• 『正式な48Hour Film』として認められる為には、各チームの映画が選択したジャンルに沿って作られ、エンドクレジットより前の規定時間内において全てのお題を映画の一部として取り入れなければなりません。

G. ボランティア

全てのキャストとクルーはボランティアでなければなりません。

H. アニマル・セーフティ

猫や犬など、動物の安全を確保することは48HFPの撮影において非常に重要な要素です。映画の製作過程において、実際の動物が死んだり傷付いた場合、その映画は失格となります。

I. カメラ

任意のフィルムやビデオカメラを使用することができます。使用台数に制限はありません。

J. 音楽著作権

参加グループは映画用の楽曲の作成や録音を、地域の作曲家やミュージシャンと行うことを推奨されています。事前に録音された楽曲の使用を参加グループが許可されるには、参加グループが映画内で使用する全ての楽曲の著作権を保有し、またそれを譲渡する必要があります。楽曲と同様に、事前に録音された効果音も使用できますが、使用する権利を持っている必要があります。

注：歌のパロディ（別の歌詞や音楽を付けられているが、識別可能な既存の楽曲の使用）は権利者の署名の入った証書無しでは映画に使用できません。このルールは米国または国際著作権法の下による『フェアユース』の法理に関わるか否かに関係なく適用されます。

K. Total Running Time

The finished film must be a minimum of 4 minutes in duration, and a maximum of 7 minutes in duration—not including end credits. In other words, the official running time begins after the required 48HFP slates and ends prior to the end credits. The required slates and the end credits do not count towards the minimum time of 4 minutes. The film story may not be longer than 7 minutes. Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition reserves the right to shorten any film that exceeds the maximum length for screening purposes.

L. クレジット

ⅰ. 映画が始まる前に以下のものをメディアに挿入してください。

5秒間の黒味

タイトル画面：チーム名、タイトルジャンル、都市名、日付

リンク先のアニメーション 

もしくは 

・タイトル画面と共に、『This film was made for the Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition 2023. www.48hourfilm.com/yes-we-cannes』の一文を記入してください。

2秒間の黒味

映画本編

ⅱ. 前述の2秒間の黒味の後、映画によってはオープニングクレジットが入ります。オープニングクレジットは映画本編の一部とみなされますので、７分内の一部となります。また、もしあなたの映画に映画のタイトル以外のクレジット（クルーやキャストの名前表示など）が含まれている場合、次の一文を必ず追加して表記してください。

『[チーム名]presents』続いて『a Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition 』もしくは、

『a  Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition』続いて『映画タイトル』

注意：a Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competitionは全て小文字にしてください。

（例：yes we cannes - global film competition）

ⅲ. 各映画のエンドクレジットは最大60秒までです。その60秒はルールKにあるように、映画本編に追加されることになります。（つまり、本編 7 分、60秒のクレジットが追加され、映画全体の長さは最長 8分になります。）

エンドクレジットには『This film was made for the Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition. www.48hourfilm.com/yes-we-cannes』の一文を記入してください。

『a 48 Hour Film Project』は引用符で囲まれている必要はありません。また小文字『a 48 hour film project』で表記してもかまいません。

ⅳ. コンペ終了後のスレイトとクレジットについて：コンペティション終了後、オンラインでの上映に際して『This film was made for the Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition 2023. www.48hourfilm.com/yes-we-cannes』というクレジットを映画の開始前に表示する必要があります。詳しくはこちらをご覧ください。

M. Required Media Formats

For complete submission requirements, check www.48hourfilm.com/yes-we-cannes.

Maximum File Size: 2GB.

If your film does not conform to the submission requirements listed below, it may be disqualified. Also, if your film cannot be viewed on 48HFP equipment, it may be disqualified. Your film must be submitted in one of the following formats:

• Preferred: H.264 encoded .mp4
• Alternate formats: self-contained Quicktime .mov (no proprietary codecs)

N. Submission Notes

• The Team Leader for each registered team will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to properly submit their film. It is the responsibility of the Team Leader to ensure submission information is passed along to the team member(s) who will be performing the upload.
• We recommend that you make sound levels relatively even throughout your film.

O. 提出書類

Q. Eligibility

To be eligible for the Project, Entries must be the original work of the Entrant; must not infringe third-party's rights; must be suitable for publication (i.e., may not be obscene or indecent); must not contain obscene or pornographic material; may not contain defamatory statements about any person, company, organization or entity; may not invade privacy or other rights of any person, company or entity; may not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations; and may not contain any copyrighted elements (other than as owned by the Entrant and/or Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition).

Entries containing prohibited or inappropriate content as determined by the Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate will be disqualified. Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition reserves the right to make the final determination as to which Entries are eligible. Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition reserves the right to refuse to present or judge a film or to make an announcement at the screening regarding the content of the film. Yes We Cannes - Global Film Competition reserves the right to alter a film in order to remove or delete offensive or defamatory content.

R. 上映前の公開禁止

応募者はプレミア上映の前にどのような形であっても応募作品を配給してはいけません。これは任意のウェブサイトに映画をアップロードすることも含まれます。その代わり、応募者は応募作品の予告編を配給することが推奨されています。その予告編は48秒以内で製作してください。

S. 正式な認定

『正式な48Hour Film』と認定されるには各参加グループの映画製作がここに記載されている全てのルールに則って遂行されなければなりません。48HFP主催者は『正式な48Hour Film』のみを上映する権利を留保します。

T. 提出物は返還いたしません

文書、メディアを含め全ての提出物は返還されません。

U. Disqualification

YWCGFC and Project Parties may, in their sole discretion, disqualify Entries deemed to be inappropriate or otherwise non-compliant. All participating teams (team leaders, team members and team fans) must adhere to all rules re: filmmaking competition and online Audience Award voting.
