Filmmakers from all over the Los Angeles, CA area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2022 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 Short Film Corner.

On August 6-8th,  hundreds of passion-filled filmmakers armed with a genre, prop, character, and line of dialogue will begin the race of their lives here in our great city of Los Angeles to make a film in 48 hours! Their hard work will be prominently displayed at our premiere screenings before a live audience at the beautiful Regal Cinemas LA Live.

After each screening, you will have the opportunity to vote for your top three favorite films and hear a Q&A with each film's producer/Team Leader. Tickets will go on sale after the filmmaking weekend.

The 'Best Of' Los Angeles Award's Screening and Ceremony is a dazzling night you do not want to miss. Come walk the red carpet and then see all of the nominated and award winning films of the Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Project 2021. The screening is followed up by an award ceremony to find out which film will take away the crown of 'Best Film' that will represent Los Angeles at Filmapalooza 2022 and have a chance to screen at the Cannes Film Festival Short Corner.
