Take your filmmaking to the NEXT LEVEL!
Wherever you are currently in your filmmaking journey, the 48 Hour Film Project is a valuable next step!
•. Make your FIRST film... the first of many!
•. Create a film (or another film!) for your reel
• Practice new techniques -- in a low-risk setting
•. Find new filmmaking partners to work with, beginning on a (very!) short-term basis
• Create work to help show off your skills to find that next job!
Come to WQED Studio A for a discussion with our three incredible judges to learn more about them: Nancy Mosser, Melissa Martin, and Cara Friez. Also pitch what you can do. Sign up your team at our event!
Big ups to WQED Film Academy for being a sponsor for the 48 and letting us use the space!!
Come out to our second mixer at Pop District HQ! We'll have an Ask Me Anything session, a camera/lens shootout, award winning 48's playing, people pitching / looking for teams, and Pop District / The Warhol: Academy giving tours and info!
As soon as you turn in your movie come to Riley's Pour House for a wrap party. Dirty. Tired. Hungry! Come and get some food and a drink (on your own dime). Cinema Psycos ( Brian Cottington and John Wooliscroft) will be video live streaming/podcasting as teams turn in with interviews on camera on stage. Be there to hear if your team made it in on time!
Riley's Pour House is an all ages venue with a great menu of food (and adult beverages for those of age). Kitchen open to 9:15pm!
Online Submission on Cinema48.com. Make sure your team leader is registered.
