We are excited to partner with Wheelhouse Productions to bring you this program just for the actors... whether you participate in the 48HFP or not. Invest in your craft! Join us for an all-day, in-depth and intensive actor's workshop featuring:
9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Emotional Mapping (3 hrs.)
https://www.universe.com/emotionalmapping
Using Alba Emoting & Emotional Recall, actors will join each other in a safe place to strengthen their connection with their own emotional buttons. Learn the difference between working from the inside out vs. outside in, and learn what technique works best for you with each specific emotion. Be prepared to get all up in your feelings in this super intense session that is more about openness than skill. Do not be late! Door closes and class begins promptly. No one can watch. Everyone must participate. This class is limited to 15 people, so register early to make the cut!
12:30 - 2 p.m. Authentic Casting (1.5 hrs.)
Gone are the days of actors putting aside their own wishes for their careers to adhere to stereotypical casting types. Learn the three parts of Authentic Casting to show up in a way that benefits casting and keeps actors grounded in the roles they truly want to play. Learn what characteristics you naturally walk in the room with and which ones you are missing to play your dream types.
2:15 - 4:15 p.m. Social Media Marketing (2 hrs.)
Be in charge of the first impression you aren’t in the room for. Use marketing tips and tricks to show up online as the talented professional you are. Designed to give the actor practical tools to confidently audition and maintain control over their online presence in an organic and consistent way.
4:45 - 7:15 p.m. Script Analysis & Memorization Technique (2.5 hrs.)
Script Analysis & Memorization is the #1 skill for an actor. Learn a system for breaking down a script that will allow you to free yourself from the how of creating a character and live in the doing. Walk away with a Four-step Process for script analysis and added tricks and tips for digging deeper into character work when needed. Students will receive a script to practice the technique as we learn. Class ends with a performance of workshopped scripts.
9 a.m. - 7:15 p.m. All Four Sessions (10.25 hrs.)
Register for one, two, three or all four sessions. Early Registration: May 3-17. Regular Registration: May 18-June 8. Late Registration: June 9-18. Lunch and dinner is provided for those registering for all four sessions. No outside food permitted.
