The weekend? July 26 - 28, 2019

The challenge? To make a film in only 48 hours!

Filmmakers from all over the Tampa, FL area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2020 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2020 Short Film Corner.

Kickoff Event

Fri, Jul 26, 2019 @ 6:00pm - 7:00pm

We're so excited to have Brick House Tavern + Tap hosting our KickOff & DropOff!

It's conveniently located just south of I-275 on Dale Mabry, plus lots of free parking!

Remember, Friday night is the Team Leader and one team member for the KickOff and then Sunday night at the DropOff is when we all let loose in our sleep deprived state and celebrate that YOU MADE A FILM!!

Team Leaders arrive at 6pm to make sure you are there for the announcements leading up to the genre drawing. 

Feel free to get there early and enjoy some tasty treats. We'll have a few appetizers and you can also order food & drinks on your own.

Known for their relaxed, sportscentric atmosphere, with a seemingly endless assortment of local, craft, and import beers, and inventive scratch menu of American tavern fare. Brick House Tavern + Tap offerings guests a truly next generation "gastro pub" experience.

Dropoff Event

We will start accepting completed films at 6:30pm.  All ON TIME FILMS must be in before 7:30:00.
