The weekend? July 31 - August 2, 2020
The challenge? To make a film in only 48 hours!
Filmmakers from all over the New Haven, CT area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2021 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2021 Short Film Corner.
Once again will be have a Pre-Filming weekend workshop hosted at by our sponsors at WPAA - TV and Community Media Center!This year will we have a camera workshop by Digital CONNtent Creators David Brown. He's going to give you some tips & tricks to shoot your 48HFP! He's been a NHV48HFP judge, sponsor, and his team has even won Best Film before! He can guide you & your team through the ups & downs of filming with the 48 timeframe from his previous experiences!
It's our 10th Anniversary!
Drop-off: I'll be there at 5:00 pm. For films to be considered on time & up for ALL awards they must be turned in by 7:30 pm on the dot! I'll be there till I have the films or they kick me out! Let's hope the films are on time & I can get to the edit on time to make the screening videos for the premiere showings at Bijou Theatre CT August 5 & 6, 2020!
