The Houston 48 Hour Film Project

Returning in 2010

The 48 Hour Film Project will return to Houston from June 4th to June 6th, 2010. Filmmakers from all over the Houston area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world for the title "Best 48 Hour Film of 2010".

Registration opens Tuesday, April 6th.

HFC First Thursday Screening

Notes: The Houston Film Commission holds a monthly short film screening on the first thursday of each month featuring Texas filmmakers. The April screening will consist of a showcase of Houston 48 Hour Films from previous years. Houston producer, Laura Schlecht, will be on hand to present a short overview of the project and answer any questions you may have. Please join us to mix and mingle with other local filmmakers while we celebrate the 48 Hour Film project.

SWAMP Salon Mixer

Notes: The Southwest Alternative Media Project holds a monthly salon on the last Tuesday of each month featuring information of relevance to the local filmmaking community. The April Salon will focus on the 48 Hour Film Project. Houston producer, Laura Schlecht, will be on hand to present a short overview of the project and answer any questions you may have. A selection of entries from the previous years will also be screened. Please join us to mix and mingle with other filmmakers and artists in the Houston area.
