The Detroit 48 Hour Film Project
The 48 Hour Film Project comes to Detroit on the weekend of July 19 - 21, 2013. Filmmakers from all over the Detroit area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world.

This year, teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once the initial registration is complete, we will add teams to a waiting list.
Early Bird Registration is $140. Teams must register on or before Monday, June 24 to get this special rate. Regular registration is $160. If teams register after Tuesday, July 9 they must pay a rate of $175.

| The Detroit 48 Hour Film Project kickoff night happens this year at The Rust Belt Market, Ferndale, Michigan. Teams need to be at the kickoff venue by 6PM sharp to start the genre drawings, then the announcement of the character, prop and line of dialogue will happen at 7PM and teams will be off and filming! We'll be meeting in the new middle meeting space, parking available at the metered lot behind 9 Mile Rd. |

| Dino's Lounge at the corner of Woodward Avenue & 9 Mile in Ferndale will be the location for our filmmaker drop-off this year. We'll be there starting at 6PM and films MUST be turned in by 7:30PM to be considered on time and eligible for awards. |

| The newly renovated Maple Theater in West Bloomfield will be our screening location for all four blocks of the 2013 Detroit 48 Hour Film Project films this year. Screening Tuesday July 23rd, 2013 and Wednesday July 24th, 2013 at 7-9PM and 9:30-11PM blocks both nights. Tickets will be available for sale directly at the box office the day of each screening.
