This special event will showcase 15 of the best short films from this year’s Toronto 48 Hour Film Project, followed by our awards ceremony, where we recognize the standout achievements in directing, cinematography, acting, and more.
If you’ve attended one of our Best of Screenings & Awards Shows before, you already know how electric the atmosphere is. If you haven’t—this is your chance to experience it!

Start your afternoon with lunch on Roncesvalles, then head over to the Revue Cinema for an unforgettable screening experience.
Event Schedule:
🔹 Doors Open: 2:30 PM – Arrive early to secure your seat!
🔹 Screening Starts: 3:00 PM sharp – Enjoy 2 hours of sci-fi and horror brilliance.
🔹 Awards Ceremony: Immediately after the screening – A high-energy celebration of this year’s top films and filmmakers.
🔹 After-Party: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Loons Pub (416 Roncesvalles Ave) – Raise a glass, connect with fellow filmmakers, and celebrate the 48HFP community!
🏆 The Awards – Who Will Take Home Top Honors?
Following the screening, our panel of judges—who have meticulously reviewed every submission—will announce the winners of key awards, including:

The Best Film will receive the honour of being screened at Filmapalooza, where it will compete against top films from around the world. If it excels there, it will go on to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner!
