The weekend? 26 - 28 October 2018
The challenge? To make a film in only 48 hours!
Filmmakers from all over the Melbourne, AU area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2019 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2019 Short Film Corner.
The Melbourne 48 Hour Film Project is back for 2018!! Last year's Project was a huge success, so we're following it up with another awesome event this year!
The actual filmmaking weekend and screenings aren't for a few weeks, but we're holding a Meet and Greet/Networking Event for everyone to come along to, scope out the competition, chat about films and most importantly, have a few cheeky drinks!
The event is free, but everyone who registers for a ticket via Eventbrite/Facebook (and turns up on the night) will automatically receive a ticket into the raffle - the prize of which is free registration for your team into this year's Project! Second prize will recieve two tickets to the screenings night of their choice! That's up to $220 value, and you get a free ticket in the draw just for registering and coming along!!! Incredible!
You can also purchase extra tickets in the raffle for more opportunities to win (plus you'll be supporting the running of the Project) and we're also going to have a couple of networking activities for you to complete to get further free entries in the raffle!
So there's no excuse not to come along!!
Our amazing sponsors, Roc's Bar will again be putting out some of their absolutely delicious food, and did I mention we can have a few drinks there!?
So please, come along, brings your friends and family for a fun evening with the Melbourne filmmaking community!
