The Edinburgh 48 Hour Film Project

Filmmakers Take to the Streets

The weekend of May 16 filmmakers from Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Leeds, Falkirk, Stirling and beyond will take part in the Edinburgh 48 Hour Film Project.

Our list of teams for Edinburgh is posted to the right. At the Kickoff Event, each team will draw the genre for its film out of a hat. In addition, a character, prop and line of dialogue will be announced and must appear in each film.

All of the completed films will screen on May 20 and 21 at 9pm.

Prizes:

- Grand Prize for Best Film: Avid Media Composer software for Mac and PC. Media Composer is the industry standard in DV editing software, used by virtually all of Hollywood and other major studios. It retails for £1,822.00!

- Best Director will win a Glasgow Media Access Centre (GMAC) Membership and 50% off a hire from Progressive Broadcast, and Best Writer will win a Cameo Membership.

- Other prizes in 15 categories: books, DVDs and more!
